Pull The Shades, Brazen And Agile Lover Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Pull The Shades, Brazen And Agile Lover

Pull the shades, love;
The sunlight trespasses
Our thresholds
The fever clambers
Over our bodies careening
Towards each of the
Clandestine pillars,
We hold the secrets
Of the stars
And sequester the breaths
Of the foliage
As the populace pirouettes
In a madness.
Pull the shades, love;
The sunlight paves
Holes upon my apertures
I love you in
This slowly burning room
I love you in sanity
And in a trance
Like the dance
Of the stars -
A celestial fandango,
An immaculate waltz.
I sing your dreams in
A euphonious shrill -
Taut a grip brazen, agile lover
With your gossamer crimson lips.
The cunning wind
Seeps through the veranda
Onto the Venetian
Encircling the Victorian furniture
As our bodies sprawl lifeless
Yet full of vim;
As the city sinks in a morose sea
Yet a swelter of vivacity
Rummages through the
Crevasses of each avenue.

Love, pull the shades
So as to shun the fulminating Sun.
Love, pull the shades
Until the Sun sublimates
Into a liquefied twilight
And again and again,
Pull the shades, love
Let us bask in this opaqueness
As the somber dusk
Encroaches the silent hills,
The macadamized thoroughfares;

Pull the shades, love.
They do not need to pry
About what we do,
Who we are inside each other's
Immense eyes like
Vacuous nights and rooms,
How we are in this surreal
Promenade;
Our unfathomable espionage
Away from everything…

So pull the shades, love.
