Purpose Of The Gun Poem by Randy McClave

Purpose Of The Gun

The purpose of the gun is to kill
It's purpose is not to mend or heal,
It attracts those who want to do evil
As it was created for all upheaval.
It was created to take a life
It's more dangerous than a sword or a knife,
All you need is to pull its trigger
Then all you need then is a gravedigger.
Guns are equipped and used by soldiers in war
So, of their enemies they can kill more,
And they are also used by the police
When they arrest or fight, but not for peace.
In a gun some say evil doesn't exist
But, they are used by a terrorist a murderer and a racist,
And some guns has scratched notches
From the lives taken as God sadly watches.
A gun can turn any man into something he is not
When in rage a gun is what is sought,
But, if the Bible and not the gun was lying there
Then for help he'd pray to God in a prayer.
Just think if Cain had a gun instead of a stone
He would had killed his parents from rage to atone,
Now why else would a gun anyone want to buy
Unless they want someone to die.
A man can't call himself a Christian and carry a gun
Because, his faith is in a weapon and not in the son,
I truly believe that the Devil helped create that murderous tool
Using it, is the Devils main rule.
