Quarantined With You Poem by Randy McClave

Quarantined With You

If I were in quarantine with you
I don't think that I could really do,
Thinking that you and I sharing the very same air
Knowing that for me, you never really did care.
I could imagine us for months in the very same room
I see only sadness, hurt, worries and doom,
The air would be filled with your lies like smoke
Upon them, I would surely suffer and choke.
I know that you and the world truly understands
That because of you, I would always wash my hands,
Things I did in the past I now know that I shouldn't
But, because of you, I nowknow that I wouldn't.
I think could you and I be in quarantine together
I now know that the answer would be a truthful, "Never! "
Though from me you have always stood 6 feet apart;
But, only when it pertained to my heart.
