Quiet Whisper Of Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Quiet Whisper Of Love

Wandering into a winter evening, tears of snow freezing this
mind with an intense sense of loss, remembering you as we
grew up together.

Never thinking that we would lose one another so soon, stay-
ing by your side through it all, a battle of your will and
cancer.

For a while you held your own, winning in this awful game
of tug of war, trying so desperately to hold on to life and
loved ones.

Finally becoming too much, for your body was weakened by the
uphill climb, letting go, watching life disappear in a quiet
whisper of love.

Seeing the many tears of love falling from hearts that loved
you so much through the years, life now over and gone, even
your spirit has left us and gone to heaven.

This heart having a difficult time of letting go, even though
you, yourself was forced to do it, moving on to the other side
alone, my dear little sister.

These heartfelt prayers never ending, hoping that God continues
blessing you until we can be together once again in heaven all
our love still with you.
