R.I.P. Poem by Candace Batch

R.I.P.

The day I heard that you were gone I couldn't believe my ears.
Paced around back and forth, tryin' to hold back tears.
I reminse of the way things used to be when we shared some laughs and memories.
I remember you used bug me to no end, but truely we both knew that you were really my best friend.
Whether you were my mom, my, dad, my sister or not even a kin, we'll
never be able to go back to way back when.
Why you have to go, so early on but, from what it feels like, you're not
really gone.
Fighting back tears don't work no more so as I lay my head, I let the tears pour and pour.
I hope you know missing you will never cease, all I can say now is Rest in Peace!
