Rain Poem by Edwina Reizer

Rain

Rain, rain as it falls upon my pane
is a cleansing for my soul.
It washes away my earthly essence
and reminds me of my role.
That as a creature given the chance
to love my fellowman
I must always try to show compassion
in every way I can.

Rain, rain as I hear you on my pane
falling dropp by drop,
You slow me down to discover
that never will I stop.
For I will go on forever
just as rain will fall.
And I will become my soul again
and understand it all.
