Raindrops In My Palm Poem by Paula Glynn

Raindrops In My Palm

Rating: 5.0

The heavens open as tears fall from the sky,
Tears from an anguished god that cries when he sees lonely pain,
And the sun hides behind the clouds, waiting to show itself,
As teardrops soak my palm, for I wish for no regrets,
I wish for a life perfect in itself, where I can be forgiven,
For my mistakes and misfortune,
And I pray to the heavens above I am freed from this pain,
That god cries for me and shows me a new way,
For these raindrops turn into tears in my palm,
And I have suffered all these years, now wishing for a new start,
Where I can find love as I open my heart,
For I want to fly above the clouds, like an angel so free,
And to sail on a boat, safe on a stormy sea,
And I want to be released from night terrors and just be me,
And I want to find redemption for all the mistakes I once made,
And I don't want to be lonely or afraid,
So I offer my gifts to the god above,
And leave behind the god of the underworld,
As I sail on my angel wings in the perfect blue of a perfect sky.
