Reading Labels Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Reading Labels

Not all who pray know God,
And not all who preach are pure,
Not all who think deeply are mad
And not all called 'doctors' can cure.

Titles and labels - these are many!
One may be a prince but be really a Fool.
Some are called ministers but they are truly
Just highly paid crooks who rule.

All the medicine we take have labels,
We only have to read before drinking-
For caution and common sense enables
Us to choose which ones are 'the real thing'
