The boy who cried 'Wolf! ' too many times,
In the end, was the liar who was not believed.
And those who copy others' lines and rhymes
Repeat Lies as truth, so are deceived.
Deluded into their own mistaken view
That all the world cannot weigh and think
What is real compared to what was never true,
So in grayed illusions, they thus sink.
Guilt and the need to redeem a name
Already tainted with the ink of pretense,
Struggles forth to divert foolish blame
But Reality displayed shouts its presence.
We can hide from ourselves, not from God,
We can clothe our words with all arguments,
But the Truth inside reveals all that we had-
And at night that Truth gnaws our sentiments.
