Reclination Poem by Ravi Panamanna

Reclination

This is the fate of most of the present day wives and husbands.
**************************************************************************

I have a world
You have a world, but
Where is our common world?
I have a mould,
You have a mould, but
Where is our common mould?

From our previous marriages
You have children,
I have children, but now
Where are our OWN children?

In the morning
You are due East,
I am due West, and
Reach different strands and coasts.

In the evening
You are due West,
I am due East, and
Reach the same gate, open the same door.
It is the same roof, the same bed,
But where do we finally recline?
Upon thy dreams or my throbbing heart?
