Recognizing Facts Later In Life Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Recognizing Facts Later In Life

Alone and heart-broken, having been hurt by someone claiming
their true love completely and always, now looking back, real-
izing there never was any love, ever.

They were just words spoken in order to get what it was that
person wanted, but never got, wishing going back in time was
able to happen, never to have gotten involved with ever.

Also wishing life could go back in time, being relived in a
whole new way, just so life could be created in a positive
way alone.

Testing and finding out the truth of those who claimed to
love and wanting to be with someone, having come to a con-
clusion that there's no one that would've been there.

Recognizing this fact late in life, living life in a mind
and intellect with music, giving self the only love in this
world to strengthen an interior spirit.

Using mind and an imaginational reality in order to do so,
finding joy and happiness in an innate talent while always
listening to rhythms, writing prose and music all the time.
