Recovery Of Resiliency Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

Recovery Of Resiliency

Rating: 5.0

Strength of steel and warmth
wrap my body.
I reciprocate,
astounded.
Tears tumble, meeting no
resistance.

''...I believe we've met before.''
Simple sounds eliciting
leagues of emotion,
all escaping the safe I'd
been struggling
to shield.
''I may recall.''

Watery laughter and
sobs fueled by
insurmountable
agony paired with time
hang in the humid
atmosphere,
rolling from
a reservoir of relief.

''I'd lost myself without you.''
I'd forgotten
that embrace.
The one that expresses
every worry
and every joy.
Questions are all cleared
as I sink into those
gentle arms.

Barriers are stripped.
No longer do miles or
anguish compromise
our promises.

My happiness rouses
from a dreamless slumber.
His grip slightly tightens,
acknowledging it with relief.
''You never lost me.''
