Red Is The Color Poem by Francis Duggan

Red Is The Color

People of every color and nationality and creed
Red is the color of our blood when we bleed
The presidents the royals the celebrities and billionaire
With the poorest of the poor one thing in common do share
That their blood it is red in all it is the same
The wealthy and renowned and the strangers to fame
Of every nationality in every town
Of every shade of skin color of black, white and brown
Red is the blood in their veins that does flow
I only say here what everyone does know
The privileged classes the so called highly bred
Like the hungry and homeless their blood it is red
And since death is a thing everyone has to face
There is no such a thing as a superior race.
