Regrets Met To Forgive We Must Forget Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Regrets Met To Forgive We Must Forget

There is nothing we have in common,
Except for a distance kept.
I see no reason for us to pretend,
There is something there...
When there is nothing left.

Nothing but despair remembered.
And with no one do I want that to share.

There is nothing we have in common,
Except for a distance kept.
For you to mention that with consistency...
Means we both need to get as far away,
As we can get.
To keep from repeating,
Regrets met to forgive we must forget!
