Remain On Your Knees

What do you do when you are hurt?
Remain on your knees in prayer
When all hell break loose
Remain on your knees in prayer
When there’s nothing left in your bosom
Remain on your knees in prayer
When life turns it back on you
Remain on your knees in prayer
What do you do when all hope is gone?
Remain on your knees in prayer
When disappointment chokes your dream
Remain on your knees in prayer
When you do your best but still fail
Remain on your knees in prayer
When they tell you that you are not good enough
Remain on your knees in prayer
Giving up should never be an option
Remain on your knees in prayer
Even when there’s nothing left to try
Remain on your knees in prayer
And when there’s nothing left to lose
Remain on your knees in prayer
When they say you don’t have what it takes
Remain on your knees in prayer
Don’t try to prove them right or wrong
Remain on your knees in prayer
When the door closes right in your face
Remain on your knees in prayer
When u fall short of His Glory
Remain on your knees in prayer
And all evil pulls you down
Remain on your knees in prayer

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

A little while a little love
The hour yet bears for thee and me

If still our heaven be lit above.
Thou merely, at the day's last sigh,
