Remembering Forever Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

Remembering Forever

So the days sink away
And the nights fade to gray
And you sit and wondering
What makes the days go by
What makes the friendships die?
What makes your heart remember?
All the things you never forget
What makes you keep trying?
When you fall to the ground
What picks you up and brushes you off
And helps you to continue to be strong
The questions have been asked so many times
And yet I never find an answer to why
The mystery that is life, continues to amaze me
Yet here I stand, still holding on
Still holding what’s always been dear to me
Still remembering everything that means something to me
So hope still dangles on a string
And life is unforgiving and yet I stand
Calling out to destiny to believe
On what has happened here
On all the things I fear
And I remember everyone
One who’s ever really touched my heart
