Reminiscing

Every time I think of you, I can’t help but smile
I do miss your touch and your smell for its been a while
Since I last hugged you, it almost makes me want to cry
But still that little smile manages to creep up on me like a spy
I am but a woman in love and I cannot deny it
Tear drops fall down on me and they sparkle so much in the light
For they’re not of sadness, but joy and happiness
My heart is contended by far, but now I could use a kiss

It reveals so much but says even more
Just a brush on my lips tells me that I am whole
In other words, complete, as long as I’m with you
And the world shall be our oyster in everything we go through
My heart still raced fast whenever I felt your touch
It skipped and jumped without you needing to do much
I laugh at myself, for naughty thoughts now crowd my mind
Makes me start blushing, how I wish you was here to hold my hand

To tell me everything is alright, as I reminisce on the good old times

But that will not be as you have gone so far away
So far, it is almost as if you were a stray
Nothing is the same for you’re very much missed at home
I want you here so much because I’m so alone
That little flat seems so big without you, but it is my house
It is quite saddening that you are like a thousand miles
But at least we both know that I will always be here
So I should try and relax even though all I can feel is fear

Fear that I may lose you but you tell me I’m being silly
It’s just that I love you so much and I mean it, really
The thought of being without you makes me shiver to my bone
For I know that in all the world, there’s only you who can make me whole
You have touched my heart and that memory still remains
So much we’ve gone through, luckily there were never any complains
It must go to say then, that God has blessed this relationship
Which means that we must value ourselves for this treasure we must keep

As I reminisce on the good old times, I realise that this love only comes once in a lifetime.

A little while a little love
The hour yet bears for thee and me

If still our heaven be lit above.
Thou merely, at the day's last sigh,
