Remove Me From Me... Poem by DEEP DARK SOUL POET

Remove Me From Me...

Why is it if we climb, just to fall?
Then tell me, what is the use?
We can’t rise without climbing
Do we win when ascending in truth?

Desperate people have rat’s eyes at best
And speak in the language of selfishness…

So roughly grab my joyless hand
And drag me to the promised land
Of cloud song and rainbow sounds
Leave a torrent of my tears to drown.

I would set fire to a forbidden memory
The bitter past left aside to dethrone
For it flaunts sadly its odd eccentricity
And fiercely defiant, refuses to atone.

Under a dark and vermillion sky
Where normal lips would not reply
I couldnt see sadness from my eye
How usual it is for the sad to die?

I’m begging to live within another life
To re-roll those awful cosmic dice
But I know that what I’d find would be,
Just one more hidden face of misery.

I blink up at the sky with secret eyes
That peer out from my grim disguise
A mask of brass that scowls and laughs
But deep within a tortured soul still writhes…
