Repeated Stupidity Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Repeated Stupidity

If the fruit picked,
Looked as if to be delicious.
Although told,
To dismiss its appearance.
Since others had experienced,
That same attraction.
Ignoring warnings.
With a taking more,
Than one bite of it.
Too late to discover,
The fruit to pick...
Had a rotten core.
No one warned to ignore the fruit,
Should place blame on no one else.
For making their decisions,
Based upon appearances alone.

"What's wrong with those folks?
Forcing themselves to vomit like that."

-Doing the best they can,
To get what they've digested...
Out of their stomaches.
Although we had warned them,
The taste of disgust...
Will be theirs to have for awhile.-

"And...
How do you know this? "

-Ignorance.
Not listening.
And a slow recovery,
From relying on decisions made.
Based upon impressive appearances.
Then accusing those,
To have had experiences.
With them to blame,
For us making ourselves fools.
Hoping yet again,
A lesson to be learned can be done.-

"Well...
Hopefully that lesson to learn,
Doesn't require too much pain...
To eventually get the message.
And it remains effective enough,
In your heads to stay and keep."

-Your comments?
Some may interpret to be offensive.-

"Trust me,
I've learned stupidity repeated...
Is in need to be offended."
