Reunited Poem by Ashley Kolakowski

Reunited

As everyone drifts off to sleep,
He sits in his room all alone,
Looking through old pictures,
Memories of her flood back.
He's never been the same since she was killed.
He tried to get help,
None of it worked.
While his parents were at work, he snuck in their room and stole his fathers gun.
Writing his notes he explained,
The past seven months have been hell for him...
He sits there, pictures of him and her all around,
He preps the gun.
Looking down at the pictures while he cries,
He points the gun to his head.
And pulls the trigger,
Falls backward,
Dead instantly.
Reunited with his lover.
