Revelation Poem by Danny The Dreamer Boyd

Revelation

This rope hold while I dive into my soul,
I should be coming up but right away,
Yet please, don't feel like you do have to stay;
Self-conscious, I this chose and did not fall.
Oh, why! From up there things were rather small!
Afraid, I hope I do not lose my way;
I feel the darkness coming into play:
I fear it seeks—I fought—my somber thrall!
I tried to change without: I went within,
The hollow though extended to the core! —
If I were you I would not hold my breath.—
I searched, —I failed—I could not find the shore; —
Perhaps I should have loved whom I have been! —
My cry for help just echoes for my death.
