Riddled With Abnormalties Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Instructed to follow.
With a blindness to disrupt.
And openly corroded.
By an hypnotic corruption.
So seductive to mentalities,
The having of sanity many have up!

Even that which had been considered,
A normal life to live.
With it wished returned to have again.
Riddled with decadence and abnormalties.
To miss yet witnessed to be off track.
People addicted,
Yearn to have this 'sickness' back.

Even without being in the midst,
Of a threatening virus to cause a pandemic.
People had been willing participants,
Permitting to be involved...
In confusion, division and racial conflicts.
Endorsing to support,
A political and religious agenda.

Now with time given,
To exam their misdeeds.
And the loss of benefits told they would get.
Questioned are those in leadership positions.
The ones selected, chosen and picked,
To represent their symbolized to idolize status.
As to why it has been publicly revealed,
Their only interests to have...
Is more focused on self preservation.
Than the ones claiming to be stunned,
Into an irreversible disbelief.

Yet...
As reality exposed always shows,
Denial to refuse to accept the truth...
Seldom is without willing participants,
Creating their own unexpected results.
Effectively dimming a once bright light.
Upon a quality of life including theirs.
But not aware...
Theirs would not be spared.
When those who deceive,
Leave them to feed themselves exclusively.
Although thank them publicly,
For the opportunity to have made them all...
Fools too late to celebrate the victory.
