Rose Of The Sun Poem by Nontobeko Dlamini

Rose Of The Sun

Rating: 5.0

From where the sun rises,
As black as charcoal
A veil in heaven covers
The glowing face in the sky,
The heavens are in moarning.
Darkness swirls over earth,
Sadness and sorrow
Kissing on the lips of hapiness.

Fight, fight you rose.
The birds may poke at you,
The worms wriggling
Through your leaves,
And the ground may seem hard
and dry;
Hot at times.
Death may taint the air you breath,
And your heads hanging down from your shoulders,
Like a mango fuly ripe.
When all are convinced;
You will never gaze
Straight into the bright face
Of the sun,
To ignite that spark,
To enkindle that fire
In your soul, to be the same again.

You know they are right though wrong.
Be the same? That you never will,
For you have grown in a way
unimaginable,
Your strength surpass the
hundred years of a fig tree.
But gaze at the sun,
You will, to be reborn,
For the world has been waiting
For your re-incarnation,
To bring hope and hapiness;
That bright smile
To the face of the world.

Oh yes, yellow rose;
You yellow rose,
You knew that to shape a sword
Takes the gruesome of fires,
Eating on the metal.
The unforgiving bang of a
hammer,
And the explosion of water,
With the sudden change in temperature.
And all is worth it.
Like the piece of metal,
You are shaped to the shapest
Sword, to cut through all the obstacles in your way.
Yes you, you rose of the sun.
