The Memories, With Words We Have Created

Rating: 5.0

Agony is the breeze,
That constantly
Through my skin pierce.
When the night is young,
Seeking comfort in the
incandescent,
Where the moon meets the lake,
Lake of tears to sooth my soul,
Engulfed in the fires of the heart,
Running wild like horses
untamed,
To cry tears,
Tears to drown
The bleak memories,
With words we have created.
Words, words so sweet;
The incantation we sung to each other,
So tender and gentle, never
A touch this overwhelming have i
felt.
Words leave an imprint,
An imprint much more distinct
And powerful than fingerprints.

A fine painting we were bodly painting.
Two souls driven by the same force.
Two hearts neatly pierced
Together to the very core,
The pain, so sweetly hurting.
How i wish I could erase it,
But the mind will hold it forever,
Like a ghost haunting
And taunting.
Helpless and defenseless,
Like a piece of paper,
At the heart of a tornardo.
Never has the feeling been so strong,
Though like the life span of a tornardo,
All is lost...
Lost and left with the devastation
Of what was...
You should have said goodbye...
You should have said goodbye...

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Tender words so sweet yet so romantic, so gentle but very gigantic, the deep feeling mixed affection has by very large been amazingly expressed, the memories that never forget but forgive are of much significance in the heart, the body and the soul, .. This is wonderful The_African_Son

Wow! girl, this is a masterpiece...its very touching, again your poetic talent shows in every word in this sad but fantastic poem.....that feeling tells you that maybe if he came and said goodbye there would have been closure, That crossroad is a hard place to be in, maybe just maybe he realized that he couldn't look you in the eyes and tell you that, he's leaving for good...because maybe you were too good for him, life goes on sisi wam yimpilo vele injalo..good luck. Siya_! !

I was attracted to this poem by the title and I was not disappointed. Strong, yet heartfelt words of love and loss beautifully written and a pleasure to read. If she did not say goodbye perhaps she could not find the words to match your depth and clarity.
