Roses

Red roses are like blood
Black roses are like death
Pink roses are like love
White roses are pure
Red roses are the color of blood bleeding
Black roses are the color of death black to the soul
Pink roses are the blooming of love
White roses are pure with innocence

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
