Rubber Bands: Around And Around....[food Container Closures; Very Short; Personal] - Poem by Bri Edwards

My partner uses excessive wrapping to close food bags with a rubber band.
When I go to open up a bag so-closed-up, the effort's almost more than I can stand.
AND she accuses ME of screwing on too-tightly, every stubborn food jar lid,
but (sometimes) she accuses me wrongly. Other times I admit I DID.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

i STILL say it is the food on the jar threads which works like glue to seal the lids on tightly. i really should lick the threads better to remove the food residue before screwing the jars closed. do you agree? ?

Since you are not my husband I agree completely. Lick the threads as much as possible. If my husband should somehow get to read this any time I would suggest he does not do the same or I will batter him. The question is, do you screw the lids on too tightly deliberately or is it just because you don't know your own strength? (Report) Reply
