Sacred Lotus Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Unuttered words of yore,
suffocated in the heart,
have finally found their place
upon pages of poetry:
aligned with the remembered
heart-beat, love-lorn;
meditative, in melancholy,
mellow resounding anew
as the rippling rain
upon the surface
of the silent depth,
of the silent murky lake,
wherefrom a sacred lotus flower
has emerged:
pink-white blossom immaculate,
floats on the green palm of the lake:
petals of catharsis,
petals of renaissance,
contrasting with
its muddy roots of sufferance:
sprouts in spirituality;
metamorphoses
with the motion of time…
thus the lotus flower
defies the mud:
only obscurity
permits inflorescence—
such paradoxical miracle!
