Sadness Remains
I feel alone and lonely
This feeling has come lately
I have lot more to feel
Sadness remains with me still
What was now store?
No pleasure any more
She is far away in distant land
“In heaven” call all the friends
“Mom where are you” son asks
To console him is the biggest task
I have no ready made answer
I face cold and shiver
I find reflection on his face
He is exact replica with traces
Of her mother and looks lovely
I have become very much fond lately
He questions with quick intent
To see mom with him and present
Before his eyes to play
I cry silently not to show any way
Am I responsible for sad plight?
Her absence was shock and not right
We were not prepared and unaware
How could I tell him all these and dare
“Mom will be back dear”
Be calm and have no fear
I move my hand over his head
He stares at my face to read
