Same With Number Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Gone was the year 2k eleven
Coming of the year is 2k twelve
We will count same with numbers
Try to forget past and never remember

Some one said “human is to err”
Some one remarked “we are no where”
We are just pawn in time game
Almighty is there to be blamed

“How almighty responsible for our misery”?
I could only express my helplessness and pity
How can I leave everything to our creator?
When we have everything to enjoy and share?

I hear the chanting words from hymns
Words are composed by black headed man
“We may live only with your grace”
Grant us all wisdom to raise head and face

Such things we daily reiterate but not practice
Daily commit words but withdraw the promises
Bring almighty in between and proclaim on his name
No where we stand committed and share the blame

Let us try our level best
Dash against wall as if appearing test
If nothing comes out of it then give second thought
Don’t leave field until you are imprisoned or caught

You can certainly have reason to ask for pardon
As work was executed beyond limit and done
You have sufficient reasons to feel satisfaction
It is inner feeling with all kind of positive indication
