Say My Name Poem by Casey Gochnour

Say My Name

Let the sound of my name wisp from your lips,
Let the love of your soul move in your hips,
To that sweet, sweet melody, the sound that moves my soul,
The voice of us in complete control.

Loving words tossed to and fro,
Promising always to never let go.
Let your voice sound loud to the letters of my name,
Show me to others how you have no shame.

Holding me down every time I hear,
The lovely notes of your voice right to my ear.
Oh how pleasant, how wonderful your sound,
Echoing into my heart, love so profound…

My love, my love, how you sing me to life,
How your love surrounds and ends my strife.
Speak my name, say it again and again,
Don’t hesitate, just say it now and then.

And I hear it in my dreams while I sleep,
The beauty in it so much I just want to keep.
That sound from your lips as you say my name,
And I’m the one to blame.

Gently pulling me to wherever you are,
No matter how far, to the farthest star.
I’ll follow you, we can walk together,
Whether or not there’s bad weather.

Truly a siren to my ship, but I see no danger,
My lover, my best friend, absolutely no stranger,
Could ever guide me wrong away from your rocks,
Nothing could attract me to more beautiful docks.

So sound me, breathe your breath of life,
Come my love, come and be my wife…
Speak my name, say it once more,
Your lullaby is the only one I fell for.
