staring into the sun
hoping it would blind her
what's done is done
things cannot be unseen

the heat starts to burn
her face starts to redden
refusing to turn away
feeling burdened

why did she have to look?
why did she have to see?
what was she doing there?
when she has somewhere else to be!

at the wrong time
resulting in a mental torture

trying to forget the image
burned into her head
but when she closes her eyes
she sees it instead

the tears wouldn't wash it away
nothing seems to work
in her mind it'll stay

this is what she gets
for wanting to always be right
this is what happens
when she puts up a fight

he's more than a just a rainbow
but also darker than a storm
he went from friend to foe

all her trust he had
in a matter of minutes gone
now to wipe out the memory
of the friend turned con
