The Gift Of Love Poem by scarlette Phoenix

The Gift Of Love

Rating: 5.0

As Isit with my wings spread wide
eyes shut tight
with a smile on my face
I sit in meditation
thinking of you
Thinking of the days when...

I was a sad princess
dreary was my setting
trite my skin
and ebtrapped my heart...

With an entrapped heart
came a forlorn mind
bordering with unruliness
and a look of malice in my eyes...

All this came ith being
the last one standing
the last of my kind
the last of my being
loneliness does not become me...

Sad I was with nowhere to go
no-one to turn to
until you came along...

A creature of kindness with a heart of gold
filled with love
you showed me a way unknown to me
a way of serenity
something a being of my stature knew of not...

I was a fighter
who only knew action
to be passive would be to die
my only place of tranquility would be my grave...

With your calm ways
you showed me a light
a light brighter than the sun
yet cooler than a fountain
it brought me a beauty
a beauty so soft and sensual
it taught me to LOVE...

that same love brightened me
in a way no-one will ever know
it might be seen as a physical beauty
or be seen as a great persona
either way, it's not
it's a newly found emotional strength

A strength more powerful
than the strongest being
it cannot be judged by
physical attributes
it cannot be judged at all

To judge it would be to err
to err is mans nature
we arenot man
I, an Angel
You, a peaceful being unknown to me

You and I
stuck in a place
somewhere between
Heaven, Hell and Earth
where Fallen Angels,
Lesser Evils and the Best of Man
may spend their time
on another level

On another level
Where our spirits may be free.

[To my love- I have felt this way about you for the longest time, it still hasn't changed]
