Scars. Wounds. And, A Healing Process Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Scars. Wounds. And, A Healing Process

The occurrence is happening.
And swift it appears.
The awakening of many admitting,
Of a truth to have attacked...
Now willing to resist,
Their being offended.
Done to deny,
Truth in their lives...
Had not been permitted to exist.
So swift and quick this change has come.

Stunned are the truth disputers.
Feeling their delusions,
Have been attacked and betrayed.
Threatened to fear truth for decades.
Leaving them nowhere to go.
And running away is to welcome defeat.
With a proving truth the winner.
In a battle against it,
Using everything deceiving.
They just knew truth would soon retreat.

But no...
The occurrence is happening.
A quick and swift awakening appears.
And as if...
Powered from flashbacks had from the past,
Beaten are those recruited to dispute truth...
By the ones,
Undoing what deception...
They allowed done to disbelieve.
Now no longer left to doubt.
Or from the truth to deny or leave.

"What changed 'your' mind? "

-Stupidity! -

"Stupidity?
Whose stupidity? "

-My own.-

"That battle to win,
Takes a lot of time to conquer it."

-How do you know? -

"Scars. Wounds.
And, a long healing process."
