Scream Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

Scream

Rating: 5.0

Last evening I was sitting alone
On my favourite chair in our balcony.
I saw so many people coming by car
To attend a wedding ceremony.

All were ornamented with gold and pearl.
They were looking so smart and lovely.
One by one they entered a house
Which was decorated so gorgeously.

People were so busy in singing, dancing
Gossiping, drinking and eating.
I saw a dustbin filled with the wastage food
And some vagabonds and dogs fighting.

Few orphans and beggars gathered there.
Suddenly I heard a boy's scream
But I couldn't believe my eyes and my ears.
It seemed to me as if I saw a dream.
