Screams Poem by Kay Bell

my face is hot
and a tear slides down my cheek
laying motionless
my body is weak
fighting off those words
that you shoved into my head
i hear life in your screams
but your eyes to me are dead
your anger pours out to me
and all i can do is stare
the look upon your face
i can hardly stand to bare
your taking this out on me
for what reason i dont know why
im standing here trying to take it
but all i want to do is cry
as much as you make me sad
i dont think i could ever let go
i picture this as a dream
and i keep my eyes closed
i'll wait until you leave
and pretend you were never here
tell myself a lie
and forget all of my tears
