Searching Poem by Randy McClave

Searching

I have searched here continually on Earth
Not long since after my birth,
In different countries, states and towns
But, all I found was mistrust, lies and frowns.
I have looked into churches and even malls
I have checked in stores and took down numbers on walls
But, always I have came home empty handed
As though a curse on my forehead was branded.
I then went to the restaurants and also to the bars
While wearing new clothes, and driving new cars
I jogged, and I also took long walks and hikes
I joined the health clubs that everyone likes.
Of course I was tested and I was also tempted
By, those who used and wanted to be exempted
I am always honest, caring, loving and kind
But, the prize that I wanted, I just could not find.
I have now unpacked everything from my suitcases
And I have unlaced all of my shoelaces,
I finally have an answer to my need and my question
I will find me that good woman, when I amin heaven.
