Seasons Change Poem by Grayson Peterson

Seasons Change

Summer gives way to autumn,
Brilliant colors on trees fall,
The breeze swaying, cooling,
And swirling leaves from trees tall,
The warm colors, inviting,
The time I love most of all,
The festivities, exciting,
Summer to fall.

Fall doesn’t stay long,
A moment, and it’s gone,
A break before the frost,
From leaves to snow on my lawn,
With old man winter comes,
His companion, Jack Frost,
Bringing ice, sleet, and snow,
The sight of leaves and earth, lost,

Though winter is long,
It is always sure to pass,
And introduce spring,
Blooming buds, and green grass,
Spring is a beautiful season,
Full of brand new life,
A refreshing rebirth,
Between the four season’s strife,

Though pretty and exciting,
Spring passes the torch,
For summer to come,
As spring it doth scorch,
Green is back in fashion,
And heat on long days,
Kids finding shade,
Under a tree as it sways,

The seasons do change,
Like a well-rehearsed song,
No one season stays,
No not for too long.
