Secretly Missing You Poem by Chloee Desormeau

Secretly Missing You

I act like it's nothing
I act as if it doesn't affect me
but if only you knew the pain you bring
without even meaning to hurt me.

You're gone now,
you've actually been gone for quite a while
and yet I don't know how
but it affects my every smile.

You're a part of me
and though I say I don't mind it
your absence is draining me
an putting out a flame that worked so hard to be lit.

I try so hard not to think of you
but every time I do
it only makes me remember
everything we've done together.

We'd say we were a part of one another
but I guess that's all over...
