Silently Hurting Poem by Chloee Desormeau

Silently Hurting

Her heart aches
Her joy is fading
But she still fakes
And just keeps smiling.

Her friends try,
Wanting to bring her joy back
She fights her desire to cry
Not letting anything slip through the crack

She tells everybody she's fine
Says there's really nothing
Her pain she refuses to define
But she knows it's not just anything

It grows inside her like a tumor
She knows it might never disappear
If she does nothing about it sooner or later
But she keeps her silence
And chooses to persevere.
