Secrets Poem by Pierre Rausch

Secrets

The smallest children carried buckets full of water
To sprinkle on each layer of the woolen faces
After the fleeces had been trashed into softness
Why did you help me?
You come running as fast as you can
Remain bound even when you discovered he ran
While the flies had buzzed around to scare
In the deep snow, it's secret and flies are not there
And I think you could be right
And you found nothing to complain
Slowly and deliberately
Was supposed to be a one time hit
You come running as fast as you can
Remain bound even when you discovered he ran
While the flies had buzzed around to scare
In the deep snow, it's secret and flies are not there
If you'd take a moment to listen
And make sure there are some secrets
As playful objects in that mistery
And consider a return up to that mistery
You come running as fast as you can
Remain bound even when you discovered he ran
While the flies had buzzed around to scare
In the deep snow, it's secret and flies are not there
