Secrets Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Secrets

Rating: 4.0

Secrets kept as secrets,
To cover up a butt.
Eventually are not secrets.
But,
A doing to mistrust.
Anyone,
Who uses secrets...
To pretend a trust.
Is someone to soon be known,
Escalates disgust.

People who lie to then deny,
Escalate distrust.
People who do this in disguise,
Crush their trust to dust.

Who benefits from a keeping of secrets.
When their trust is busted.
And who is it that benefits,
When there is no trust.

People who lie to then deny,
Escalate distrust.
People who do this in disguise,
Crust their trust to dust.

Who benefits from secrets.
When their trust is busted.
Who benefits from secrets.

Who benefits from secrets.
When their trust is busted.
Who benefits from secrets.
When their trust is busted.
And that trust is crushed.
When their trust is busted.
And that trust is crushed.
When their trust is busted.
Busted.
Busted.
And that trust is crushed.

When their trust is busted.
Busted.
Busted.

When their trust is busted.
Busted.
And gone is all the trust!

Gone is all the trust.
To leave it,
Busted.

Gone is all the trust.
To leave it,
Busted.

Gone is all the trust...
Busted!
