Self Denial Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Self Denial

A kept self denial,
Is much worse to keep.
Than a lover that cheats.
Since one who does this,
Could never again be trusted.
But one who denies they lie to themselves,
Will always be comforted...
To know the loyalty of it to keep.
Never to question.
Or doubt where it has been.
It will remained that way to stay. Faithful.
