Serenity And Peace Poem by Michelle Sam

Serenity And Peace

I want to caress serenity and peace like the darkness caresses its shadows
I want it to behold all that I am like the clouds caressing the beams of the sun
I want to feel like the stillness of the night at its deepest, darkest hour
I want to feel the quietness of nothing like the emptiness between heart beats
The serenity that I want to have is like the loneliness of a cemetery at twilight
The peace that I want to embrace is the sound of a babbling brook at dawn
I want the solitude of watching lightning bugs glow and the sound of crickets chirping
I need the tranquility of lying in a meadow and looking up to the rolling blue skies
I want the silence of sleeping in a warm bed with one eye open looking at the stars
I need the feeling of calmness like hearing a baby breathe as they sleep peacefully
The serenity I want to have is like smelling a fragrant flower near a waterfall
The peace I wish to give to the world is like the Garden of Eden on its very first day
