Shades Of A Gulmohar Poem by Anaya Tahir

Shades Of A Gulmohar

Rating: 5.0

We see the gulmohar in full bloom
In the days of April and June……
Its bright red petals, beautiful green leaves
Depicts the phase of blissful youth.
Then comes the days ….
A few shades darker….
It loses its charm …
Fades away the strength and vigor...
Senescence fills up with ruth….
Finally comes the day
When the last leaf falls off the tree
There stands the bare gulmohar
With not a single leaf..
The air fills up with gloom
For the end has come near so soon…
But it waits for the beautiful day
When there will be arrival of a new bud
With juvenile leaves sprouting of shiny green
A new beauty is born, we hope, we imagine….
