Shake, Rattle And Roll Poem by Edwina Reizer

Shake, Rattle And Roll

Shake, rattle and roll.
Something out of control
started the East Coast thinking
and eyes started blinking.

Is this what an earthquake can do?
What did it do to you?
Think about Haiti and remember this.
Everyone can sink into the abyss.

Earth changes are evident now.
Everyday we see somehow
that all is not as it's been.
Maybe this earth has too much sin.

Mother earth is tired of war.
She'd like it to be as it was before,
filled with love instead of hate.
She's probably tired of the long wait

for humans to change their ways
and so we see and feel our days
inundated with natural disasters.
The earth, itself, will become our master.

So get ready for more
shake, rattle and roll.
