Shattered Dreams Poem by John Demon Jones

Shattered Dreams

Shatter, splatter, broken dreams.
Nothing's ever as it seems.
Drip, drop, color splash.
Adding life, but just a dash.
Skitter, scurry, such a hurry.
Never get caught in life's flurry.
Tripping, slipping, always falling.
Psychedelic colored drawing.
Curling, twirling, always changing.
Sounds like cannons always banging.
Solitude, falling through.
Tell a lie that won't come true.
Wake up, break up, never make up.
Every morning's such a shake up.
Roll out of bed, clear your head.
Start to move before you're dead.
