She Fancies Me Poem by John Carter Brown

She Fancies Me

Rating: 5.0

My wife said she still fancies me
it gave me quite a thrill,
married over thirty years
it seems she loves me still.

My hair is now receding
but then, I'm getting old,
but not completely grey yet...
I also feel the cold

I'm still not needing dentures,
though one tooth has a chip,
my back aches almost constantly
it gives me lots of gyp.

My wife said, "I still fancy you
I think that you're still handsome,
I wouldn't ever swap you
not even for a King's ransom."

My wife says she still fancies me
it still gives me a thrill
I don't complain, she is the same
and we're not over the hill.
