Thru hardened eyes I saw them take you out the front door
Thru hardened eyes the abuse would be no more.
No longer will you use me as a punching bag because I fought
Back and I'm glad.
This time the fear was in your eyes and left you dumbfounded
And surprised.
The frying pan was my weapon of choice as it hit your head
With such a noise.
As you laid on the ground and saw me coming at you
You didn't know just what to do.
I continued to hit you as you screamed "please stop"
When in walked my neighbor and a cop.
"Domestic Violence "is what they say and, in this house,
You cannot stay.
Court records show you have done this before, but with me
It will be no more.

It takes a lot of of courage to fight domestic violence. It is a reality that domestic violence exists across globe. Those who suffer are in vulnerable positions and can not voice. So most of the cases go unreported.A very powerful write, thanks for sharing.

I would like to translate this poem
Domestic violence is the gravest abuse women face everywhere in the world. They should not put up with abuse of any kind. Resorting to frying pans could prove dangerous. Women should take recourse to law to protect themselves
At times when the law does not work, you have toto defend yourself
