I am leaving once again for a trip
By a plane, and not by a ship,
I asked Debs for a kiss (with some guile)
She just gave me a smile.
I once before bought her a beautiful souvenir
But, she still never comes near,
Instead Debs sent me a beautiful smile
That joy lasted, for a while.
I bought Debs some beautiful shoes
The ones that she happily did choose,
They fitted perfectly with her profile
She gave me another smile.
I sent Debs some beautiful flowers
Hoping happy feelings would be forever ours,
She again gave me just a smile
Which was now becoming her style.
I asked Debs could I take her out to dinner
I even said to her, that she looked thinner,
Sadly my phone she never did redial
But, I bet she gave me a pretty smile.
I talk to God everyday and every-night
He always feels my soul with his light,
In a dream I saw Deb with a beautiful smile
As I watched her walking down a lonely isle.
I have returned back to Scotland
I am wishing to be holding Deb's hand,
I'll bring her back a skirt from Argyle
She'll probably only give me a tantalizing smile.
I know that one day in a grave I'll be placed
Never again will I see Deb's beautiful face,
But, I know she'll give me one last smile
After I have walked my very last mile.
