She Had An Abortion Poem by Randy McClave

She Had An Abortion

She cried that she was raped
After her rapist had violently escaped,
To the police this story she embarrassedly told
And she was just thirteen years old,
She thought what else could she do
No one would care or help her through,
She knows that she couldn't go to school anymore
Everyone there would see her as a tramp and a whore,
Everyone would be whispering and pointing accusing fingers
With gossip and lies that always lingers,
She wasn't a woman, but still a very young child
Who was thrown violently into the wild,
Sadly she was the one to blame and not the male
Even though he created her torment and coming hell,
Unto her head when he placed a gun
While screaming he was going to have some fun,
Her family and her friends hated the poor and the needy
They said they were lazy bums and all seedy,
Now she will have to stand in line for Government aid
As does the poor people for whom she never prayed,
Now she was wearing other shoes
As she sought out help from her rape and abuse,
She always thought that her body had belonged to her
But, it doesn't when a rape does occur,
And now she thought if she is impregnated
Her life and her destiny will now be forever fated,
And there will be no, "if" or, "no" or even a "maybe"
The rapist and his family will have a right to see the baby,
She was told their was almost 500,000 abortions ever year
Which brought her both sadness and a tear,
But, if the children survived they would had needed help and fed
Which would have put the government in the red,
Yearly thousands of females are raped and attacked
Sympathy and justice for their suffering was always lacked,
She then read the stories and saw the abortion ads
Then she heard stories about all those dead beat dads,
She then read billboards that says, "Abortion murders and kills! "
She read pamphlets that says taxpayers shouldn't pay the bills,
In her mind the rapist says, "I have a gun and this is extortion"
In the morning she decided to have an abortion.
